Our Bush Camp
Day 2
After breakfast and with a lunch in tow, we will head for
the High Country. This ride takes us up above 8000ft. From here the Clearwater River
appears to be a winding ribbon of steel in the valley far below. As on all of our rides
the opportunity to view various species of wildlife may present itself and with any luck
we may also see the magnificent Grizzly Bear! We return to camp for a great home cooked
meal and evening of relaxation around the fire.
This is a circle trip approximately 5 hours of riding, in total 6-7 hours. Some walking is
necessary. Ride can be shortened depending on ability of clientel.

Day 3
This morning we will head for the Peters Creek trail that
winds its way along the valley bottom occasionally wandering into Banff National Park.
We continue over the Condor Mountain at 8,500 ft. down into the Forbidden Creek area, a
wild and remote place where the scenery is fabulous. The viewing of sheep, goats, bear,
deer and elk are all possible. Mid way through this ride we will break for lunch and rest.
This is also a circle ride which will return us back to camp where after a hearty meal we can
exchange stories around the fire!!
This trip will take approx. 6 hours with a variation in the riding conditions.

Day 4
Today we will be heading to Lost Guide Lake
a pretty
pristine lake at 9000 ft. The trail we take goes back over a hundred years and winds its
way up a canyon crossing the Lost Guide Creek on numerous occasions.
This is a beautiful trip with high canyon walls on either side Lost Guide Falls can be
seen prior to our arrival at the lake. At this height the terrain is covered in
wildflowers and scrubs. Some of the trees although 3/400 years old are only 6 - 10ft high
due to the harsh weather conditions. The weather can change in an instant at these heights
and a warm jacket plus rain gear is a must. At the lake we will relax and enjoy our lunch
prior to the ride back down to camp. An opportunity to
fish the lake may arise subject to weather conditions and fishing regulations. Easy ride
returning on the same trail.

Day 5
From camp we will cross the Clearwater river and head to
the Fork of Forbidden Creek where we pick up an old fire road that takes us to the summit
of Scalp Creek at 7500 ft. From there we take a scarcely used pack trail over the top into
Timber Creek. This trail follows a narrow gorge on its way down and is very steep,
clients will have to walk about 1 mile until we reach the valley bottom of Timber Creek.
There are all types of wildlife on the ride and the scenery is breathtaking. Once on the
bottom we will break for lunch then complete the circle back to camp. This trip is
approximately 6 hours encountering several river crossings. Great ride
